About Me

My name is Augusto, but everyone calls me Gu (pronounced goo, I’m from Brazil it’s a common nickname down there – I promise!)

I’ve held a couple of different titles, most recently I was a Senior UX Designer at Spire Communications. I have 10+ years of experience designing accessible, scalable web experiences for government and enterprise clients. I’m adept at translating research into intuitive user interfaces, building robust design systems, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-impact digital products.

Outside of work I enjoy playing the drums in my punk rock band with my brother, cooking with my wife, and skateboarding!
